Hiking and Mountain Biking
Mountain Biking Trails and Hiking Trails will be incorporated
in the Development and currently proceed through adjoining
Jim Thorpe Borough and Carbon County owned property next to
the development. Additionally, there are many hiking and
mountain biking trails in the surrounding areas. Jim Thorpe
has the reputation of having some of the best mountain biking
in the North Eastern United States and has been the host for a
yearly mountain bike weekend jamboree drawing over a thousand
mountain bikers over the last ten years. Widely used mountain
bike trails include the Lehigh River Gorge State Park- Voted by
Outside Magazine, One of the 50 Best Rides in America
(viewable
from Canyon Rim) with a 26 mile trail. Widely known hiking
trails in the area include Glen Onoco Falls and the
Appalachian Trail (viewable from Canyon Rim.
